Why robots are stuck in demos? iFlytek's new company gives answer: lack of 'body cognition'

iFlytek has established a new company, Yaofang Intelligent, to develop the 'brain' for embodied intelligence. The company argues that the mainstream VLA architecture is not the final solution, and that world models need a key ingredient: 'body cognition' — the ability for a robot to understand its own physical capabilities. Their model, iFLYTEK-Embodied-Omni, integrates video generation, inverse kinematics, and a 'dual-core' brain to achieve higher success rates in generalization benchmarks.

Google and partners introduce ARD specification for unified AI agent resource discovery

Google, together with Microsoft, GitHub, Hugging Face, Cisco, Databricks, GoDaddy, NVIDIA, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Snowflake, has released the Agentic Resource Discovery (ARD) specification.
