Lyft and Baidu begin testing robotaxis in London

Lyft and Baidu have started testing autonomous taxis in London, entering the European market. Initially, tests are closed with a safety driver; public rides are expected by 2027. Lyft is partnering with Freenow, a European taxi service it acquired in 2025.
