At AI Summit, South Korea Outlines Its AI Future with NVIDIA and Partners

During the AI Summit in San Francisco, South Korean President Jae Myung Lee met with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and top business leaders to discuss Korea's AI future. NVIDIA and KAIST announced a joint AI research lab focused on agentic AI, the first such lab between a Korean university and a global tech company. NAVER, Brookfield, and NVIDIA will expand NAVER's AI factory to 200 MW (about 100,000 GPUs) on the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. SK Group and NVIDIA announced a comprehensive partnership worth over $500 billion to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin infrastructure with SK hynix HBM4 memory. Hyundai Motor Group outlined a physical AI strategy with a robot reference platform, extending a buildout with 50,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and integrating NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion. NVIDIA also deepened collaborations with KAIST and Seoul National University through NVIDIA AI Technology Centers. President Lee outlined Korea's vision to become a hub in the global AI supply chain, with multitrillion-dollar investments in AI semiconductors, hyperscale data centers, and physical AI. Huang noted that Korea's invention of HBM memory was crucial for NVIDIA's AI supercomputers.
