WorkBuddy major update brings AI-native collaborative Office

On July 30, Tencent WorkBuddy released version 5.3.5, a major update that integrates AI directly into document editing. In collaboration with Tencent Docs, it introduces a 'human-machine co-writing' capability for the Agent era. Users can open Word, Excel, PPT, or Markdown files and work with AI in the same document, selecting text, tables, or slides and instructing AI via natural language. AI-generated content appears directly in the file, and users can continue editing or annotate. The update covers more file formats, allows precise edits via selection, and supports real-time multi-user and multi-AI collaboration. WorkBuddy, already one of the most popular AI productivity tools in China by DAU, now runs on Windows, Mac, HarmonyOS, and Android, integrating deeply with Tencent Docs, Tencent ima, Tencent Meeting, Tencent Cloud Disk, TAPD, and Tencent Lexiang.
