Russian AI technology from Smart Engines helped process over 100,000 applications for the International Youth Festival, the largest youth event of 2026. The solution, integrated into the festival's information system, automatically recognizes registration data, achieving 99.9% accuracy without manual input.
Smart Engines, a Russian developer of AI-based recognition systems, provided its technology to automate the processing of over 100,000 applications for the International Youth Festival, the largest youth event of 2026. The solution is integrated into the festival's information-analytical system and automatically recognizes necessary data for participant registration, eliminating manual input. The AI determines data and the applicant's country in fractions of a second, working with printed and handwritten information in any language from participants across Russia, CIS countries, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania. The technology supports documents from 230 countries and territories, recognizing passports of any country in a single stream. According to Elizaveta Kiryukhina, head of digital development at the festival directorate, the key requirement was high-quality recognition for all nations and the ability to deploy the system within a secure perimeter, ensuring personal data never leaves the protected environment. The AI achieves 99.9% recognition accuracy without country-specific tuning. The Smart ID Engine recognition system is listed in the Russian software registry and is classified as AI. The integration work was performed by RUVENTS for the festival's operator, ANO DVFM.
