Startup Railway, which raised $100 million in a Series B round, offers a cloud platform optimized for AI applications and has 2 million developers without marketing spend. The company handles over 10 million deployments and 1 trillion requests monthly, challenging traditional cloud giants.
Railway, a San Francisco-based cloud platform, announced that it has raised $100 million in a Series B round led by TQ Ventures, with participation from FPV Ventures, Redpoint, and Unusual Ventures. The company, which has not spent a single dollar on marketing, serves 2 million developers and processes over 10 million deployments and 1 trillion requests through its edge network. CEO Jake Cooper noted that traditional cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud are failing to keep up with the acceleration driven by artificial intelligence: the standard build and deployment cycle using Terraform takes 2-3 minutes, which becomes a critical bottleneck when AI assistants generate working code in seconds. The Series B round sharply increased the company's total funding, which had previously been only $24 million.
