Over 85,000 Visits Since Early 2026: Regions Explore Best AI Practices on a Unified Portal

The all-Russian portal 'Digital Region' has recorded over 85,000 visits since the start of 2026, serving as an open showcase of best AI practices for regional teams. The platform's main goal is to provide ready-made, tested tools, allowing regions to avoid spending on duplicate products and instead adapt successful IT solutions to their needs. According to Nadezhda Kurtyanik, Minister of State Administration, IT and Communications of the Moscow region, regional teams most often showed interest in computer vision projects and voice assistants, as these automate citizen interactions and enable round-the-clock monitoring. The portal currently hosts 480 AI solutions from 73 participating regions, covering key public administration sectors such as healthcare, transport, housing and utilities, and security. The catalog allows navigation by application area and technology, including computer vision algorithms, natural language processing, speech recognition and synthesis, and recommendation systems. Regions can submit their own projects or request implementation of technologies directly through the portal's personal account, and the portal also serves as a basis for forming a regional AI rating.
