NVIDIA Spectrum-6: 102.4 terabit Ethernet for gigascale AI factories powering Vera Rubin

NVIDIA introduced Spectrum-6, a 102.4 terabit-per-second Ethernet switch system as part of the Vera Rubin platform. It delivers double the capacity of previous generation and is designed for gigascale AI factories. Companies like CoreWeave, Microsoft, Nebius, SpaceXAI, and Tesla will be among the first to deploy it.
NVIDIA announced the Spectrum-6 Ethernet switch system, which provides 102.4 terabit-per-second bandwidth, twice the capacity of previous generation. It is built as part of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, which includes the Vera CPU, Rubin GPU, NVLink 6 Switch, ConnectX-9 SuperNIC, BlueField-4 DPU, and Spectrum-6 switch. Spectrum-6 anchors the next generation of Spectrum-X Ethernet platform, purpose-built for AI factories to keep every GPU fed with data. Leading AI infrastructure builders like CoreWeave, Microsoft, Nebius, SpaceXAI, and Tesla will be among the first to adopt Spectrum-6. The platform supports pluggable and co-packaged optics, liquid cooling, and delivers up to 1.6x better AI networking performance than off-the-shelf Ethernet with up to 95% network efficiency for deployments exceeding 100,000 GPUs. Hardware-accelerated multiplane topologies reduce switch count by 1.7x. Spectrum-X Ethernet is designed as a vertically integrated, horizontally open platform.
