NVIDIA's Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics is showcased in a video by venture capitalist Sarah Guo, who demonstrates that the compact Jetson Orin Nano Super developer kit can fit in a handbag while delivering 67 TOPS of AI performance. The platform supports a range of AI projects from simple robotics to advanced autonomous systems, using frontier open models with high safety and security standards.
NVIDIA has highlighted its Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics in a recent video featuring venture capitalist Sarah Guo, founder of Conviction and co-host of the No Priors AI podcast. Guo demonstrated that the compact Jetson Orin Nano Super developer kit, which fits in a handbag, provides powerful AI capabilities for building robots and autonomous machines. The Jetson Orin Nano Super offers 67 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI performance, enabling developers to run generative AI, computer vision, and edge AI projects from anywhere. NVIDIA Jetson modules and developer kits, including Jetson Orin Nano Super, Jetson AGX Orin, and Jetson AGX Thor, support the use of frontier open models and are designed for classrooms, labs, and makerspaces. The platform includes tools like Jetson Device Skills and Jetson BSP Skills to help developers create, optimize, and deploy real-world AI applications. Examples shown include a self-driving toy car with a custom SidewalkPilot model, a voice and vision assistant for the Reachy Mini Lite robot, an AI robot built from scratch using the Mistral model, and a robotics AI video podcast. NVIDIA is also offering a livestream series to help developers learn to run generative AI, build agents, and use vision-language models on Jetson.
