Mistral AI has launched a new physics AI capability for engineering, designed to dramatically speed up simulations from hours to seconds. The technology learns from traditional solver outputs and predicts physical behavior instantly, enabling thousands of design variants to be explored instead of a handful.
Mistral AI has introduced a new physics AI capability, integrating Emmi AI into its platform. This data-driven AI learns from physics solver outputs and can predict physical behavior directly from geometry and boundary conditions in seconds on a single GPU, compared to traditional solvers that take hours to weeks. The technology is not a replacement for all solver regimes but is intended for the majority of design-loop iterations, with traditional solvers reserved for verification and edge cases. It enables accelerated product design, tooling and process design, and real-time digital twins. Partners include ASML, Airbus, Safran, and Siemens Energy. Mistral AI offers this as part of its enterprise platform alongside language models, training pipelines, workflow tools, and private AI infrastructure.
