Microsoft confirms Copilot 'super app' coming this year

Microsoft is working on an AI 'super app' that combines Copilot's chat, coding, and agentic capabilities. During an earnings call on Wednesday, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirmed the app will launch this year, spanning both consumer and commercial experiences. The app will integrate Copilot chatbot, GitHub Copilot coding assistant, Copilot Cowork, and the agentic Autopilot system. Nadella described Copilot as evolving from chat to Cowork to Autopilots, and noted that bringing these experiences together in one super app is a major step. The announcement follows a Fortune report from months earlier, and coincides with OpenAI's recent reveal of its ChatGPT Work app combining ChatGPT and Codex. Microsoft's revenue reached $90 billion in the past quarter, driven by AI and cloud businesses.
