Jensen Huang's Coalition of 35 Companies Against Frontier Labs

On July 24, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang published his first post on X, releasing an open letter 'Open Weights and American AI Leadership' hosted on Microsoft's site. The letter has been signed by 35 companies including NVIDIA, Microsoft, IBM, Dell, Palantir, Mistral, Mozilla, Hugging Face, Perplexity, a16z, Y Combinator, Linux Foundation, and Meta (Mark Zuckerberg). Elon Musk expressed full support but did not sign under SpaceX. OpenAI's logo appeared on Microsoft's page later on July 25, though initially absent. The letter defends open-weight models and distillation as a normal development technique, not IP theft.
