Huang believes tech leaders have a responsibility to explain the nature of AI to regulators without creating an image that deters companies and individuals from using it. He argued that widespread AI adoption is strategically important and that refusal would put the US at a disadvantage compared to other countries. Experts note that frightening narratives also serve as publicity for startups like Anthropic and OpenAI, which need billions in investments.
