Google announced new agentic capabilities for Google Maps' Ask Maps feature, including ordering food, booking hotels, and finding event tickets. The feature now also uses Personal Intelligence to personalize answers based on user's Gmail and Calendar data, and is rolling out in the U.S. and other markets.
Google announced Thursday that Ask Maps in Google Maps is gaining agentic features: food ordering, hotel booking, and ticket finding. Personal Intelligence, which is off by default, draws on Gmail and Calendar data to personalize responses. Users can order food via supported platforms like Square, Toast, or Uber Eats. Hotel booking compares prices and launches partner sites. Ticket queries show options and links. New features are rolling out in the U.S. Ask Maps now remembers prior conversations for continuity. A live transit widget showing real-time delays is also launching. These features are available in all markets where Ask Maps is available.
