The AICon conference on AI development and application, to be held in Shenzhen on August 21–22, 2026, will focus on key areas: AI infrastructure, large language models, intelligent agent engineering, multimodal technologies, and industry deployment. The event will feature over 50 technical leaders and top experts from companies such as Tencent, Alibaba, Huawei, Baidu, and Ant Group. Huawei expert on HarmonyOS AI infrastructure, Ding Tianhong, will give a talk titled "From Entering HarmonyOS to AI Native: The Intelligent Evolution of Applications at the Intersection of System and AI." He will explain how the operating system transforms from an application runtime environment into an intelligent platform capable of understanding intents, calling functions, orchestrating tasks, and securely executing services. The talk will cover practical cases: OpenDesk, an office agent for PCs on HarmonyOS; SmartServe, edge AI for health applications; and a confidential risk control mechanism for security and anti-fraud, implemented in collaboration with JD.com and Alipay. Issues such as migration, AI cost, edge inference, privacy and security, and risks of agent tool invocation will also be addressed. Attendees will learn how to turn applications from isolated entry points into a set of services that are understandable and invokable by system agents.
