CPC Central Committee Political Bureau: Deeply Implement "AI+" Action, Develop New Forms of Intelligent Economy, Improve AI Governance System

On July 30, 2024, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held a meeting to analyze the current economic situation and deploy economic work for the second half of the year. The meeting stressed the need to effectively expand domestic demand, adapt to consumption needs of different groups, expand high-quality supply, and tap the potential of service consumption. It called for solid progress in the planning and construction of the "six networks." The meeting also emphasized accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system, strengthening long-term and stable support for basic research, deeply implementing the "AI+" action, developing new forms of intelligent economy, and improving the AI governance system. Additionally, it highlighted the need to actively promote breakthroughs in frontier technologies and the development of future industries, focus on creating new pillar industries, and continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.
