China launches special action to enhance IPv6 capabilities for AI large models
The Cyberspace Administration of China, together with local cyberspace offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Shenzhen, and five leading large model companies, launched a special action in Xiong'an New Area to promote IPv6 support for generative AI large models. The action aims to strengthen the network foundation for the intelligent era.
On July 28, the Cyberspace Administration of China, in collaboration with cyberspace offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Shenzhen, along with five leading large model companies, jointly launched the 'AI Large Model IPv6 Capability Enhancement Special Action' in Xiong'an New Area. The initiative aims to drive generative large model applications to fully support IPv6, solidifying the network foundation for the intelligent era. Additionally, the IPv6 single-stack deployment action was officially initiated in Xiong'an New Area. The area will comprehensively advance single-stack IPv6 deployment, focusing on four dimensions: strengthening infrastructure, broadening empowerment, intensifying research, and nurturing the ecosystem. By 2030, newly-built zones are expected to achieve full-scale single-stack IPv6 operation.
