ChatGPT App to Get Sticker Generator for WhatsApp
OpenAI
OpenAI is developing a new feature for its ChatGPT app that will allow users to generate and export stickers directly to WhatsApp. The feature, named 'ChatGPT Stickers', was discovered in the app's code by Android Authority.
OpenAI is working on a new feature for the ChatGPT app aimed at users who like exchanging stickers in WhatsApp. While ChatGPT has already been able to generate stickers for messengers, it currently produces them one at a time, and they must be manually cropped and imported. In the latest version of the ChatGPT app (v1.2026.216), journalists at Android Authority found evidence in the code that OpenAI is developing a new feature specifically designed for apps like WhatsApp. The feature is called 'ChatGPT Stickers' and will allow adding stickers with minimal effort, but initially it will likely only support WhatsApp. For exporting stickers directly to the messenger, there will be an 'Add to WhatsApp' button. To make the mechanism work, at least three stickers must be created, which is not a limitation from ChatGPT but a requirement from WhatsApp's documentation: sets of 3 to 30 stickers. The feature is currently unavailable, and it is unclear how much time developers will need to prepare it for deployment.
