Cainiao CTO Li Qiang launches Physical AI platform, secures over 100 million yuan seed round from Yunqi and SenseTime

Quantum Dynamics, a Physical AI platform company, has completed a seed funding round exceeding 100 million yuan, co-led by Yunqi Capital and SenseTime, with MultiDimension Capital involved in project incubation and team formation. Founded in the first half of 2026 by Li Qiang, former CTO of Cainiao Group and Alibaba International Digital Commerce, the company focuses on deep integration of AI with the physical world, developing a general-purpose intelligent system technology that can be reused across multiple scenarios. Li Qiang, who spent 17 years at Alibaba Group, brings extensive experience in logistics commercialization, AI technology, and global business operations. The company's strategy is to first deploy robots in logistics warehouses to collect exclusive real-world data, then use this data to refine its underlying world-action model, which jointly models vision, action, body state, and tactile signals. Quantum Dynamics has built a data closed-loop system that automatically identifies and collects high-value data segments, including human intervention scenarios and near-failure states, to train its models. The company plans to first target B2C and small-to-medium B e-commerce warehouses in 2026, focusing on replenishment, picking, and packing tasks, and expand to complex courier networks by 2027, with a long-term path toward industrial, retail, medical, commercial, and home services. The investment was supported by Yunqi Capital and SenseTime, who noted the pragmatism of starting with logistics as a validation ground. Quantum Dynamics aims to build a continuously evolving embodied intelligence system cluster, using offline reinforcement learning, preference optimization, and simulation training to improve performance across the fleet.
