Amazon Quick for Microsoft 365: Agentic AI Where You Work
Amazon Web Services
Amazon Quick, the AI assistant, is now available as extensions for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. These agentic extensions bring connected data access and document editing directly into Microsoft 365 apps, requiring no client-side installation. Available in general availability for Quick customers on Plus, Professional, or Enterprise plans.
Amazon Quick has launched extensions for Microsoft 365, integrating its AI assistant into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The extensions provide agentic capabilities, allowing the AI to take actions within documents, such as finding and replacing text, inserting sections, and reformatting content, with changes tracked via an audit trail. They require no client-side installation, run entirely in the cloud, and can be deployed by administrators or installed from the add-in store. Authentication uses Quick native authentication and does not require an Entra app. The extensions support multiple regions and respect existing permissions. In Excel, the agent helps with data retrieval, formatting, anomaly detection, and chart creation. In Word, it acts as a co-editor that maintains formatting and provides visual comparisons and audit trails. In Outlook, it understands email context, drafts replies, summarizes threads, and manages messages. In PowerPoint, it generates slides using slide masters and templates, and connects to data sources for charts and summaries.
