A Russian court rejected designer Artyom Pozdnyakov's lawsuit seeking compensation for unauthorized use of an AI-generated image. The court ruled that the image, created with AI, does not qualify as a copyright object.
The TASS news agency reports that a court refused to satisfy the claim of designer Artyom Pozdnyakov, who sought compensation for the unauthorized use of an AI-generated image titled 'Mona Lisa with Wine'. The court determined that this image, created with the help of artificial intelligence, cannot be considered an object of copyright law. Consequently, the designer's lawsuit for monetary compensation was dismissed.
